Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
The Reginald Mitchell Peace Garden in Butt Lane was created to remember Reginald Mitchell and his famous Spitfire. As an addition to the current garden, we are raising funds to create a children’s WW1 Centenary Remembrance Rockery Garden. The project will include local schools and children from the local community. The aim of the project is to be educational and to remember those who served in the armed forces during WW1. Children taking part will be asked to paint rocks with images of WW1 and poppies in a series of weekend painting sessions. The rocks will then be set in a resin and displayed in the community garden for all to see.
Cllr Kyle Robinson, Cllr Sylvia Dymond and David Allport are taking part in the gritstone charity walk to raise the funds for this project so please consider sponsoring us to make this a success.
