    Story

On the 11th of March 2017 the Brighton yoga community will roll out their mats and do 108 Sun Salutations (or whatever you can) to support Yoga Stops Traffick and The Odanadi Seva Trust.

We suggest a donation between £10-15 but do feel free to donate more if you wish. Previous attendees have asked friends and family to sponsor their 108 challange!

    About Yoga Stops Traffick
Yoga Stops Traffick is a one day, worldwide community yoga event run by volunteers to raise awareness about human trafficking and much needed money to support its victims. The money raised will go directly to Odanadi Seva Trust.

    About Odanadi
Odanadi is an NGO based in Mysore India.
Over the past 26 years they have rescued more than 4200 women and children from within Karnataka, other states and other countries as well. They have carried out more than 109 brothel raids in conjunction with police, and brought more than 224 traffickers to justice.

They house over 150 young men, women and children in their two rehabilition centres in Mysore. They rehabilitate and educate their residents along with using training enterprises to encourage the residents to become financially independant.

Last year, the funds raised helped provide a roof over the head of 95 children at Odanadi Seva Trust rehabilitation centres. Yoga Stops Traffick participants helped pay for food, electricity, running water and contributed to the salaries of 22 social workers, psychotherapists, administrative and educational staff.

We are Brighton's Ashtanga Yoga Community. The tradition of Ashtanga Yoga comes from Mysore India where Odanadi Seva Trust is based. Some of us have been to Odanadi and met the residents. Its a wonderful organisation and we love to support this global event.
