The only installation of an African and Caribbean War Memorial in the UK (may be Europe) recognising the black regiments that fought in World War I and World War II who have never been recognised. Over 2 million black soldiers lost their lives fighting for the Empire without recognition.

This historical memorial ensures that fact is not airbrushed out of history.

Although the memorial has been publicly unveiled there is still much more to do to complete the installation in full. After this we need to ensure that the memorial is protected and fully insured against vandalism, which we experienced on the day of the unveiling.

We plan tour of schools giving both students and teachers a learning experience on the regiments, which will also encourage, give confidence , confidence and educate all communities about the contributions made by black solders to making Britain Great.
