Story
This summer, I am travelling to Lusaka, Zambia, for six weeks to design and construct community development recreational areas as part of a team of 6 students from my University. The trip is in partnership with 7 UK universities and the Perfect Day Foundation Charity (Charity Registration No. 1136511).
Being civil engineering students, myself and the rest of the team will be using our engineering knowledge to construct infrastructure and sporting facilities for Zambian communities. The charity aims to aid the development of children through the medium of sport.
The money will largely be used to cover essential personal costs including jabs, malaria tablets, visa and plane ticket. Any additional money that is raised will be donated to the Perfect Day Foundation.
