About me: I'm 21, first time mum to a gorgeous little girl named Zelda (2 months old) and engaged to my best friend and soul mate(zelda's dad).
On the 21st of december 2017 my partner was admitted to hospital with a bad case of a quincy that ruptured after being away in france for 2 weeks(he was taken straight away) he was transferred to fairfield hospital for the specialist ENT department but in critical care, he later recovered enough to go home (24th of december).On the 25th of december (christmas morning) we received a call from the ROH saying that he needed to go in straight away.we get ushered into a side room, joined by the ward doctor and a mcmillan nurse. Acute myleod leukemia, this form of blood cancer acts quickly, it rips the weight off you and you deteriorate quickly..without treatment asap his life expectancy was 4-6 months.
After vigorous testing, he was given one of the better prognosises. He had a core binding factor inversion 16. He was unable to work, due to the chemotherapy. If you know anything about chemo, he's being treated with danorubicin and cytarabine We don't know how long he will be out of work.Only time will tell. We don't know how long we have, and to take every precious memory we can possibly have.
I just want to give my little girl the life she deserves, born into a stressful environment, daddy has had 3 weeks with her and hopefully we can begin..She is our light in the darkness, our miracle baby..she came just at the right time and saved us both. We're hoping to get married but don't have the funding as they are so expensive and we have so little..all I want is to walk down the isle and marry my best friend. It's made us stoop so low, I've always worked, on mat leave and he's always worked building, we hate to ask for help but we can't do it on our own😢
