My name is Dylan Chambers i’m 19 and I was born with no right hand or forearm. There was no definite explanation for this my mum and dad found out at the 20 week scan, the doctors just said maybe the umbilical cord got wrapped around my arm and stopped the blood flow which in turn stopped my arm from forming - it happens in approx 1 in 250,000 so pretty uncommon - it’s not genetic or anything just unfortunate. It could have been wrapped round my neck so I suppose that’s a blessing 😂

I’ve had various prosthetic limbs over the years but basically gave up on them all a few years ago because they were pretty basic and had little benefit to me - that is until I found ‘Open Bionics’ www.openbionics.com - they make 3D printed arms that will enable me to do so many things most people take for granted, picking up a biscuit, catching a ball, typing on a keyboard, holding a pint!

A few of my friends Dylon Jones, Aaron Dobson and Jordan Lee have decided to do a skydive to help me raise some cash to help pay for a Hero arm.
