I want a space that's focused on quality time together not how much more we can get you to spend once your in. We have always struggled to find recreational activities that Robert can join in with. Living with a mental and/or physical disability is challenging. Work, relationships and just taking care of yourself can be hard. Having a day out should be a time to relax and have fun. But when the day begins checking toilet facilities, food options. Whether there's mascots, phobia triggers, noise and crowd levels, anxiety creeps in and fun and relaxation is hard to achieve.
Last year Robert had a ferris wheel accident. Fortunately his physical injurys were bumps and bruises. I'm now terrified of all rides and fear for others. Crowds and noise are overwhelming. I am not alone. There are many people facing their own life challenges. How many times have you paid for a day out to stand in several lines or have to leave early or paid £20+ for an hour activity.
