Earlier this year my sister was diagnosed with Anorexia which has affected my family and close friends. There have been times when we have had enough and cannot see her recovering from this, but CAMHS has been there all the way and offered support and guidance to my family. Me as her sister I have felt helpless and unable to get her and my family through this time so this is a way I feel I can help. By raising money for the organisation that is helping my family and to say thank you for all that they do. Before my sister became diagnosed she was outgoing and full of life, this illness has taken that from her. Unless you have a someone close that has had or has anorexia you don't understand the strain it has on family's and day to day life. Staying strong is the hardest part as you watch the illness take over that person and not being able to prevent it. My sister Sophie will seem like she's making recovery but then takes 10 steps back. You feel helpless and as if there's nothing more you can do. But CAHMS is always trying and making new plans for Sophie to try to make her better and gives me and my family hope. I also have made this page to raise money for cancer research as my granddad was recently diagnosed with cancer and later passed away peacefully on Tuesday the 22nd of November.
