Story

Save the UK's Charities

Father Hudson's, like all UK charities, has been hard hit by the Covid-19 crisis. The charity has seen the cancellation of the Annual Fundraising Ball, which would have contributed to frontline services at St Joseph’s Residential Care Home; there were people taking part in the Manchester and Edinburgh Marathons, the Birmingham Velo and many more events but they've all been cancelled. School closures have meant that the annual Good Shepherd Appeal, which raises thousands towards the charity's work, will likely be impacted. So Dan and I thought we'd do our bit in this national campaign to save UK charities to help Father Hudson's. It's a cause very close to my heart as I work for them! We thought we'd have a bit of fun and learn something new. So we're trying to learn to hula hoop and he's going to skip 2,600 skips in an hour. He seems to think this is doable. Anyway, follow our progress to see if we can hula at all. We're aiming low to start with -  26 rotations in a row, 2.6 minutes in one go or more if we can. We'll do it every day and try and post a video for proof.

Please sponsor us to help Father Hudson's Care support older people, vulnerable children, adults with disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers. Thank you!!
