Story
One of the branches of Turtle Key Arts is Turtle song which I have been fortunate enough to be a part of through a good friend of mine Jill, who is living with Alzheimer's. You can visit their website here:

If you know Jill, you might be able to spot her in a couple of the photos :)
When I accompanied Jill to one of the Turtle Song sessions (held over 6 weeks of the year, 1 day a week) I loved seeing her face light up with the singing and dancing - just 2 of her artistic talents. The organisers and musicians are always bursting with enthusiasm and creativity with a goal to create lyrics, with the help of the participants, that tell of their life experiences. At the end of the 6 weeks they share a performance of what they have created together. These performances never fail to move and amaze all who end up watching them, giving a depth of insight into the world these participants are living which can often be so hard to communicate. Somehow, through the music, song and movement this world is expressed.
Jumping out of a plane has been on my bucket list of things to do. When a very good friend of mine generously offered me this sky dive last November I couldn't say no. Here I am, on the verge of doing it, wanting to raise money towards a worthy cause. Raising funds for such causes as this was already tough before COVID-19 hit. More than ever we need to do what we can to keep these causes going as they bring so much life, hope and love to those of us who can always do with that extra lift.......for me, on this occasion, it involves jumping out a plane!
