Tasha had a long three & half year struggle with Ewing’s Sarcoma and slipped away peacefully at Ty-Olwen, the Hospice at Morriston Hospital on 12th November.

Tasha’s Brother, David Jnr took my place on that trip, he made the decision to continue with what we started and managed to summit the World’s highest single standing Mountain to raise much needed money to support Tenovus Cancer Care in their work to help Cancer Patients and their Families here in Wales.

I can’t even begin to explain how Sad and confusing it is to lose a Daughter to this disease, but it’s happening every day; and I don’t think the thought enters people’s minds until it affects YOU directly.

So, on the back of what has happened to our family, I have made the decision to continue with last year’s goal and attempt to Conquer Mt Kilimanjaro in October this year in Memory of my Brave Daughter; Natasha.

I truly believe that a Cure for Cancer is achievable in my lifetime and Charities; such as Tenovus Cancer Care and Macmillan Cancer Support, Clic Sergeant and Cancer Research are making it happen by raising the awareness and championing high profile events such as Kilimanjaro.

As with last year, I will be covering all the expenses myself, but any support from donations will be greatly appreciated and be used to good effect to help those that need it.
It’s not just about finding the Cures, it’s about Supporting patients through their journeys and providing Counselling to patients and bereaved families, it’s a huge picture which often goes un-noticed or taken for granted.

I will leave my current just giving page open, should anyone wish to donate and hopefully, this time I’ll make it to the roof of Africa and stand proud on the top for all those people who need support and in Memory of Tasha.
