Story
Back in 2005, we, together with four of our good friends, established Phone and Learn (PaL) in memory of another good friend of ours,
Sammy Homburger who had passed away a few months earlier, aged 41 leaving his loving wife and special young children . The inspiration for this came from the internationally renowned author and acclaimed speaker, Rabbi Paysach Krohn who knew Sammy very well too.
The concept was simple: allow anyone who wanted to know and understand more about their heritage the opportunity to study for up
to one hour a week over the telephone or on Skype with a carefully selected tutor FREE. Twelve years later, the programme is tremendously successful with over 2,200 people having learnt through PaL and enjoying the www option afforded by PaL – to be able to learn Whatever you want to learn, Wherever and Whenever you want to learn it.
We hope that with your support, we can continue to watch the phenomenal growth of PaL which will also be a fitting tribute to the memory of our dear friend Sammy. Thank you!
