Story
Hi! It's us again! The "Barker Brothers" Dave and Jim. Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
September looks like starting fairly busy this year! We start with Jim's 25th visit to Bendrigg Lodge for his annual outdoor activity week holiday and then we will be running the Great North Run (13.1miles) together on Sunday 08th September 2019.
We are once again trying to raise money for the Bendrigg Trust
The trust are a registered charity and run the outdoor activities centre (Bendrigg Lodge) in the Lake District, where disabled and disadvantaged people can get involved in a variety of adventurous outdoor activities. Jim and I have been on holiday to Bendrigg 24 times and would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to go and have a go! It's brilliant!!
This is the 18th time, that a Bendrigg team has been involved in the race (Jim and I have entered 12 of those together!!) to raise both money and awareness.
We would really appreciate it if you would like to sponsor us and support the work that goes on at Bendrigg.

Don't forget to watch out for us on the television coverage...........we keep trying to get on!! We'll be trying extra hard this year!!
DAVE and JIM.
Last year we raised about £3,500 between six runners, which Bendrigg used to support people to attend various courses at the centre
Bendrigg Trust challenges perceptions of disabled and disadvantaged people through adventurous activities. Just £40 can support a person with a disability to try climbing for the first time and start to believe in what they can do, rather than what they think they can't. At Bendrigg we help people take part in activities they never dreamt possible due to their disability or social disadvantage. Thank you for helping to make dreams a reality and to allow everyone to achieve through adventure.
