I have helped raise money for various charities over the past years. I’ve abseiled twice , that was scary ...Walked the Thames path overnight. My biggest two challenges were completing 100k treks without sleeping ,carrying my survival kit .   Bloody hard both mentally and physically .. but I did both and raised money for worthy charities.

Now , because I’m still able , fit and well I thought it was about time to do something new, and help raise some cash for a well deserved charity close to home which is The Hive youth zone.  It is a purpose built facility for 8-19 year olds , providing a safe environment where young people can go and enjoy themselves, build their confidence , learn new skills and meet people.

The staff are amazing people , both caring and totally dedicated . When you walk into the building you can feel the enthusiasm and love all around .   I have had the privilege of visiting The Hive a few times and have always been welcomed . 

So with my trusty walking boots , and map I’m off to complete ALL 20 walks in 40 days , some days I will have to do 2 ... but that’s no problem....  There is a link to The Hive if you want to find out more about them and the wonderful work they do .
