We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Alzheimer's disease can affect anybody, both young and old.  It is a soul destroying disease which leaves friends and family feeling helpless as they watch their loved one deteriorate, loosing their independance and personality.

There are so many questions about Alzheimer's such as why is this cruel illness affecting younger people?  Why is the number of people with Alzheimer's increasing?  More money is needed to support this important research, please please give whatever you can, every penny matters.

Raising money for Alzheimer's Research has been such a positive focus for me, at a time where I feel so helpless watching Mark deteriorate before my eyes, it is so sad.

Unfortunately on 13th April 2010 Mark passed away peacefully, I was by his side.  I completed the marathon in 3 hours 56 minutes, a very emotional day.  I hope that the money I have raised will help to find a cure that will stop others suffering as Mark has with this cruel disease.  Apparently £10,000 funds 100 days of vital research into Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia's.

Thank you so much, it really means so much to me that you have supported me and helped me to help others.
