Story
As some of you know I have been training to do the Barcelona Marathon on Sunday 15 March 2020.
This was something I had never done before and was going to be a big challenge as 12 months before I struggled with 1km on the threadmill in the gym I go to.
The Barcelona Marathon was cancelled with all that is going on in the world.
What you may not know is that the Irish Cancer society's main fundraiser Daffodil Day due 27 March 2020 was also cancelled.
I decided to do my marathon anyway to raise money for Daffodil day.
I did a marathon along the Dodder River and seafront in Dublin Saturday 14 March 2020. I completed it in 4hours and 4 minutes.
Thank you to those who planned it, helped me and ran parts with me, especially, Imogen, John, John, Ollie , Kevin , Liam and Adrienne.
Please so donate if you can, even in these strange times, this is a very worthy and important cause and we all know someone affected by cancer.
Many thanks
Kevin
