We are offering
our supporters an opportunity to own one of these beautiful knitted Woolley
donkeys to mark the centenary year of World War 1.
Each donkey has
been lovingly created by Doreen O'Duffy from Shropshire, who is one of our
volunteer army of knitters who knit these lovable characters that we then sell
in our shop to raise funds for our donkeys and mules.
Doreen has
knitted three white donkeys and has sewn on a white blanket with "1914-2014"
across the length of the blanket as well as decorated with felt poppies on the
blanket, nose band and head.
The fourth donkey
is a beautiful silver/grey which has been decorated with a red, white, blue
tail with matching blanket and also decorated with felt poppies on the noseband
and head.
