Story
Donna's story:
Sisters are doing it for themselves.....! Always labelled the 'wuss' and the 'jacket holder' at the theme parks it's time to do something scary for once in my life! Having seen my wee scared of heights sister bungee off a bridge in Pitlochry, it's time to 'man up' and take on this challenge to support her in the great work she does for Age Scotland in supporting our older generation. Let's do this Stacey!!!! Eek!!!!!!!!
Stacey's story:
Always up for a challenge but scared of heights I've thought about but put off doing the Abseil for a couple of years.... last year I faced my fears and did a Bungee Swing so when the chance finally came round to get my Feartie-Cat big sister Donna to take part in this, on the basis that I did it with her,... how could I say no!!!! I'm nervous to say the least but life is short and while we are here we should take as many chances as possible to try something new and have a laugh in the process.... although I think my sister might be crying haha!!! Don't worry Donna I'll buy the champers at the bottom!! :-)
That's if she doesn't kill me for the picture at the top first!!! :-)
Why Age Scotland:
No-one should sit at home for days and weeks on end with no-one to talk to and with only the TV or their pet for company, sadly that's the case for many older people in Scotland.
Age Scotland works tirelessly to reduce isolation and loneliness in older people across Scotland,.. aids them in being able to live in their own home independently for as long as possible and promotes positive views of ageing. We want to continue drinking fizz, dancing, laughing and enjoying life for as long as we are here to do so, ..... Age Scotland helps make that a reality (although don't worry they don't provide the Prosecco) :-) :-)
