Unfortunately I had to abandon my challenge a little short of 500 miles in less than 36 hours and was on track, due to pain in both knees it meant I was unable to continue. Thank you to all who donated I am disappointed but the charities will be very grateful. Thank you all Duncan

New update 28.02.2010 Thank you for visiting my site, The accident last year which prevented me from taking on my challenge of John o’ Groates to lands end in 72 hours has not beaten me and is back on. I will be attempting the challenge at 6pm on the 16th june and hope to be at lands end before 6pm on the 18th june. I can only thank you all for your faith and support especially those who donated last year and also thanks to all who donate this time around. Please read on for the original plan, training is going well, but the longest winter is not helpful. Thank you all and best wishes Duncan Please do not forget the link to my other site at the bottom of the page, as i am running two charity collections for this demanding challenge!!Updated!!!!! 23.06.2009

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
My Name is Duncan and a physiotherapist at BMI Mount Alvernia in Guildford, I have set myself a challenge. As a keen cyclist i am going to attempt to ride from John o Groates to Lands End in less than 72 hours starting on 22.07.2009.
This generally goes against much expert advice because i am going the opposite way than is usual and will encouter the south west prevailing wind. This will certainly make life more difficult as there is likely to be a head wind for three days- who wants that? well, i guess i do!
The route is yet to be fully confirmed, but i am looking at close to a total of 900 miles, the support from my wife in this challenge is great and i am fortunate that she will be feeding and watering me on route as i try to tap out the miles.
This will by far be the most challenging ride i have ever set myself. Any support and donations you can give will be greatfully recieved and make the challenge worthwhile, more importantly it will make a difference to the charities
please dont forget my other charity, Disability Challengers who i am supporting. Along with Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Disability challengers needs your help too.!
