Story
Mosaic clubhouse supports people who are living with mental health conditions. The aim is to help people rebuild their lives by helping them set goals and providing one-to-one support for achieving them. There is also a program supporting young people specifically, and an out of hours service for people in crisis to keep safe.
Often people want to recover enough to start paid employment again. Running a clubhouse involves business and administration, education and information resources for members, and maintenance of the building and catering services. Each department is run by both paid staff and members who contribute on a voluntary basis to help them gain practical work experience in a safe environment.
But its not all about getting back to work. Mosaic run educational courses, activities for fun, and there is a cafe that provides healthy meals for an affordable price. They arrange social events for evenings plus the occasional overnight trip. Everything Mosaic does helps to bring together isolated people, build confidence and help them to shape their own future.
