DELTA is a small charity which believes that almost all deaf children, however deaf, can learn to listen and talk and provides information and support to their families to help them to achieve this.

I am a retired Teacher of the Deaf, a founder member of DELTA (originally NAG) and currently a Trustee. For 40 years, DELTA has worked with families who want their deaf children to talk by providing Summer Schools, weekend events, Information Days, printed and online information as well as providing information to the professionals who work directly with the families.

It has been so rewarding over the years to hear from so many families who feel that DELTA has changed their lives and given them hope. It has also been such a privilege to work with deaf young people who are speaking for themselves, following rewarding careers in a large number of fields and enjoying busy social lives.

I want DELTA to be able to continue to help many more deaf children and their families. Almost all of DELTA's income comes from fundraising events which have been cancelled this year and so this fundraising appeal is particularly important. I am very grateful to all of you who are able to support us.
