I was supposed to be taking part in my first Great North Run (1st run longer than 5k ever) to raise money for some new lights for Castaway Goole's box theatre.

Since Covid, Castaway has been forced to close it's doors and all of their other fundraising events have been cancelled. So has this years GNR event!

So I have decided to keep on training and run the half marathon on the day (13th September) in an attempt to raise some funds for Castaway which will go towards online sessions, and helping the charity to continue the great work they do.

Castaway Goole is an amazing charity that gives the space and opportunity for young people and adults living with disabilities, learning difficulties to learn creative skills in music, drama, theatre and film. I run their youth theatre and they are the most amazing bunch of people, staff, volunteers and members!
