We support survivors of sexual violence to help those affected recover from trauma

Story

On the 3rd of October 2020 I will be climbing the UKS highest mountain, Ben Nevis. I will be raising some funds for Forth Valley Rape Crisis. This is an organisation that supports survivors of rape and sexual assault. Their work is nothing short of life-saving and life changing.

Forth Valley Rape Crisis helped me through one of the most painful times of my life. Coming to terms with rape is horrific and had it not been for the incredible support from FVRC I know that I wouldn't be as strong a young women that I am today or even be able to say the word rape. Like thousands of other women, FVRC helped me to regain my voice, my worth, my laughter, my trust and my power. FVRC helped me to grow into a survivor and motivate me even more to be an activist to build a safer, equal and fairer world.

Like hundreds of other women, FVRC means so much and I don't know where I'd be if I didn't get the support I did for them. With constant cuts to services and funding, I want to play a small role in contributing to FVRC to ensure that they can continue to provide the life saving and life changing services that they do to survivors of rape and sexual assault.

No one should ever have to experience rape or sexual assault, but everyone deserves the opportunity to heal and be properly supported.

Every single penny goes directly to FVRC so If you can spare some change, it will go a long way. Please support your rape crisis and women’s aid centres when you can and join the fight to combat violence against girls and women.

Thank you for your support.
