In celebration of our wedding, Peter and I would like to support a cause close to our hearts.  

My 11 year old nephew, Isaac, is 6 months younger than my son Luis, who many of you know.  Very sadly, 3 years ago Isaac was diagnosed with ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy).  ALD, which some of you may be aware of from the film Lorenzo's Oil, is an extremely rare neurological disorder that affects mainly boys and causes progressive damage to the brain.  Eventually it is terminal.  Isaac showed no initial symptoms and was only diagnosed following a routine eye test at the age of 8 which led the optician to advise that he should seek medical testing.  He is now in the very advanced stages of illness and has lost his sight, speech, and independent movement, amongst other things.

There is no cure for ALD but there are various research trials in progress and we would love you to support this cause so that we may make a significant donation.  Thank you.
