Story

When I was attending my junior school (Westwood Junior School, March) I met a young boy called Harry James Fynn-Brand. I remember me and the rest of Harry's Friends running around on the playground at luch times and  having really long conversations about really random things.

In Sepember 2005 Harry was diagnosed with bone cancer. When people heard about Harry they instantly reacted. 'Jump Raised Over £2,000 For Harry'-three men from March town took part in a parachute jump and raised £2,000 for Harry, the money was said to be spent on essentials for Harry as well as some luxuries including an in-car DVD player for him to watch DVD's on the long journeys backwards and fowerds to London's University Hospital.

March Fire Fighters raised £500 for Harry to go on a trip to Disney-Land. As well as £500 Harry was also given the opportunity to control a fire hose to give a couple of the fire crew a good soaking. :D

Going to school wit Harry was an honour, I would have loved it if he had continued through his school years to reach year 9 at Neale-Wade Community College. Sadly Harry passed away from his bone cancer in 2007 after a two year fight with the illness. He was 10 when he passed away, so in memory of Mr Smiler (Harry's nick-name as he kept on smiling) I would like to raise money by taking part in a sponsored walk. I would like to say thank you to Macmillan Cancer Support for helping Harry through the hard times.

I would also like to say a few words to, Angela, Hedley, Oliver and Shaun Fynn-Brand for standing by Harry through the hard times and keeping that lovely smile on his face. Thank you for the lovely Christmas Cards and the lovely articles in the news paper for his birthdays.

I would also like to say, thank you to all of Harry's friends, for the football tornament we held in his rememberance, signing the birthday cards I made for him and just remembering his smile and how lovely he was.

And one last thank you goes to anybody who chooses to sponsor me on this sponsored walk and to the people who helped raise money for Harry.
