Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Mum passed away peacefully on 3/9/2017, aged 94.  For the last 17 years of her life she suffered paralysis of the left side of her face through contracting Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (a complication of shingles).  Mum dealt with her paralysis with typical courage and strength, even though the nerves and eye often caused significant problems for her, and we think it fitting that we have chosen to help research into this condition. You can read more about the illness and symptoms - many of which affected Mum - via the following link:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for your kindness in remembering our lovely Mum.

Geraldine, Pamela, Alison and Kevin

ps - the photo of Mum above was taken just a few weeks ago on 2/8/17 - still smiling and still looking good!  RIP Mum   :-)
