Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you all know Jay and I like a drink or two, or three. So we thought this would be a brilliant opportunity to raise some money for an amazing charity. As of today we are doing dry January (no alcohol for the whole month) to raise money for an amazing charity The James Apter Friendship Fund.
The James Apter Friendship Fund was set up in 2012 in memory of a very special little boy. James Apter was born with Cystic Fibrosis. However on April 8th 2011, James was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. James fought hard for 5 months fighting his cancer, but unfortunately he lost his battle on 8th September 2011, aged just 9 years old. The charities aim is to provide gifts and toys for the children who receive medical treatments on the Cystic Fibrosis and Oncology Wards at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital. Making their ongoing battles with these awful diseases and treatments slightly more bearable and brightening up their day a little.
I think you will all agree with both of us that this is a wonderful and worthwhile cause, helping to bring a little bit of fun and distraction for the children suffering and fighting these awful diseases. so please donate as it all adds up!
