Story
The Little Princess Trust was launched in 2006 by the parents of Hannah Tarplee. Hannah was the original Little Princess who sadly died in 2005 after a very brave battle with cancer. At the time that she passed away, finding high quality wigs for children was extremely difficult and so with the help of friends and family the charity was formed to make the difficult period of being treated for cancer a little bit easier by making these hard to come by, real hair wigs more accessible. Firehouse Fitness, a Sheffield based fitness facility, will be undertaking a monumental fitness challenge completing 24 gruelling workouts in 24 hours to raise awareness and money for The Little Princess Trust. 700 members and staff, as well as local residents will be looking to take part in this inspiring charity event on October 22nd.
FHF24 is going to be a challenge like no other, requiring stamina, strength and teamwork to get through 24 signature Firehouse Fitness workouts in 24 hours. The event will take place at our fitness facility in Halfway, Sheffield. We have upwards of 700 members all ready and willing to take themselves on this incredible fitness journey to raise money for this amazing cause for some very brave children.
The event will be sponsored and attended by some of the biggest names in the fitness industry such as SportsArt, Origin and PhysioHQ. It will feature entertainment for people of all ages with a DJ, bouncy castle and the local gorilla, not to mention the FHF24 event itself which will be going on in the background for the entire duration and longer!
Local sports teams Sheffield United FC are also tipped to attend the event alongside their life long rival, Sheffield Wednesday FC, with more to be added to the attendance list. Supporting the charity and showing their support for the local community. Dozens of local businesses are also digging deep and getting involved in any way they can, either by providing donations or having a presence at the event.
