Story

Hello!

This summer Coventry Aeroplane Club have set themselves a two-part challenge called JuFly to raise money for Aerobility.

The first part takes the form of two charity open days in June and July where you can enjoy discounted flying and other activities. Have a look here if you are interested: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/coventry-aeroplane-club-jufly-open-day-tickets-61568012583

The second part is a challenge for our club's pilots to land at 87 different airfields during June and July to commemorate the 87th anniversary of Coventry Aeroplane Club. Donations mainly coming from the pilots flying and the airfields we visit.

Anthony and I are two private pilots and we had the idea of challenging ourselves and trying to fly the furthest out of all the other teams in the club. Our goal is to fly a small single engine aircraft from Coventry all the way to northern Morocco and back, a trip of over 3,000 miles spread over 6 days.

With your help we hope to not only have the trip that flew the furthest, but also that helped raise the most in donations.

All the funds raised will go to Aerobility, who offer flying lessons to disabled and terminally-ill people in specially modified aircraft as well as other aviation oriented activities.
Have a look at their website: www.aerobility.com

Our first donor is Gibraltar Airport. They have very kindly waived all their fees for our visit. Anthony and I will personally be donating the equivalent amount.

Weather permitting, we hope to be setting off from Coventry Airport early on Sunday 2nd of June, with the first stop being Rennes in France.
A preliminary route is shown below in the photos section.

We will update you on how we get on!
