Build an appeal page on JustGiving in 2 quick steps
How to make the most of JustGiving Campaigns when you need to respond quickly and show impact
The success of an appeal depends on the number of people who are exposed to your message, the time in which it takes for you to present that message to them and the urgency in your writing. If your appeal is in response to an emergency situation or a sudden turn of events, you need to be able to act fast.
Campaign Pages can build a sense of urgency, as well as building a sense of community between your donors and potential fundraisers. You can present a clear message, target and rich storytelling content using a Campaign Page.
To set these up correctly, just follow the simple steps below!
Create a Campaign
Head to your Campaigns tab and click Create a Campaign
Fill in the details in each step
Make sure to select 'No' when asked 'Is there a specific event associated with your event?'.
Add details to your Campaign Page, including imagery and videos, to show the impact that donations will have on your work
Promote your Campaign
Promote the Campaign Page link wherever possible, in email and social comms and on your website. Add a ‘Create your Fundraising Page’ step to your website so potential supporters can fundraiser as well as donate. This works especially well for longer appeals where you're raising money for a tangible project - such as replacing a roof, or buying specialised equipment.
Share your Campaign Page across all communications channels, including social media. There are buttons to do this under the Story section on the Campaign for you and your supporters to use too.
Whilst we email your opted-in supporters when you launch a Campaign Page, it's important to reach out to your network of supporters and ask them to share your appeal widely. A personal touch encourages shares as well as donations.
