Build an event landing page on JustGiving in 3 simple steps
How to make the most of JustGiving Campaigns for all future events
The success of an event hinges on the number of participants that take part, and the number of participants that then fundraise for your cause. Here’s some steps to help your charity increase these numbers using JustGiving tools available in your account.
Campaign Pages build a sense of community between fundraisers, with features such as the live leaderboard adding some healthy competition too! They also save your charity time and resource when keeping track of the overall amount raised, and which fundraisers have or haven’t hit fundraising milestones.
Typically, Campaign Pages have been used for appeals or charity crowdfunding projects. More recently though, charities have also found success in using these as event landing pages.
To set these up correctly, just follow the simple steps below!
Add your event to your account
If you haven’t yet added your event in your account, now’s the time to do it. We’ll email you when this has been approved, and you can then link the Campaign up to it. To do this, head to your Fundraising tab and click Add an event.
Create a Campaign
Once you’ve received an email letting you know your event has been approved, head to your Campaigns tab and click Create a Campaign
Fill in the details in each step
Make sure to select 'Yes' when asked 'Is there a specific event associated with your event?' You can search for the event you wish to link to
Adding event details to your Campaign means that all Fundraising Pages linked to it will be set up for that specific event. This ensures all team members’ pages are in the right place!
Promote your Campaign
Promote the Campaign Page link wherever possible, in email and social comms and on your website. Add a ‘Create your Fundraising Page’ step in your event registration flow linking to the Campaign, or hyperlink an image if you’d rather.
Do the same in all event information emails leading up to the event to make sure anyone who has slipped through the net, sets up a page.
Share your page across all communications channels, including social media. There are buttons to do this under the Story section on the Campaign for you and your supporters to use too.
Add it to your email signature and ask the team to do the same!
