Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The page has been set up in memory of Rob, our youngest and newest team member who tragically passed away at the age of 21 after an incredibly short battle with cancer.
Rob only worked with us for a short period, but despite this, he touched our hearts. He had been working for us while he completed his final year of his degree course. He was an exceptional young man, a lovely bloke and a real credit to his parents and older brother.
With the family's agreement we decided to set up a fund to help to raise money for a really deserving charity and in a small way, hopefully, help them to continue to provide help and support for families who have suffered such distressing and horrible times.
In addition, my aunt, whose husband sadly also passed away to cancer last year, was nothing but full of praise for all Macmillan's help and support both during his illness and after his passing.
To give you an idea of how your donations could help I have listed a few numbers kindly provided by the Macmillan team.
£203 pays for a MacMillan nurse for a day.
£1,010 could operate our phone service for an hour. In this time, our cancer support specialists could answer 32 calls and emails from people who want questions answered, need practical or financial support, or just want to chat.
£1,013 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for a week, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
£1,390 could keep five typical Macmillan information and support centres stocked with all the information resources they need to support people affected by cancer for a month. These resources would include booklets, guides, directories and leaflets.
We thank you for any and all money contributed and would love to reach our target.
The Gang of 4 Productions Team.
ForRob. RIP
