Story
Last year, I did something stupid. I signed up to run the Bournemouth half marathon in October 2014. I've never run a half marathon before. Not even close.
A half marathon is around 13 miles and I can only just about manage six of those before ending up red–faced, out of breath and generally not in a good way.
Aside from giving me something to aim for, I wanted to give this a go to try and raise some money for charity. No–one likes cancer, especially not when you've lost friends and family to it, so I thought I'd try and do something to help Cancer Research UK in the good work that they do.
If the thought of me trying to run a long distance on a brisk Autumn day is making you laugh a little, don't worry. It's making me laugh a little, too. Unfortunately, you'll have to pay for this feeling by donating right here and right now.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
