After years of having a sedentary desk job I want to supercharge my life. I have decided to do this by running a total of 1,000KM in 2019 whilst taking part in a number of events. (Please see the bottom of this post for an up to date list of the events entered)

Why Derian House ? 

Derian House are a local charity and, having visited their premises previously, coupled with the fact that they are my employer's chosen charity, I have become aware of the wonderful work they do for some very poorly children and their families.

I have two children of my own and can't imagine the heartache of having a child with a serious illness. This charity feels very close to my heart.

By 31st December 2019 I  must have passed the 1,000KM Mark. This will be recorded by Garmin Connect and verified independently by Virtualrunneruk.com whom will provide a lovely medal for my efforts.

All outdoor running. No treadmill rule. Also, worthy of note that I am to complete 12 events in addition to my training.
