In August 2017 my wife Ruby was diagnosed with ovarian
cancer. About 4 weeks later my Grandson Marco was diagnosed with
Leukemia. Ruby has completed her treatment and Marco is progressing well. It isn't an easy journey, but God is faithful and is sustaining us through it.
As a family we are so very grateful for the support of
friends and family, the care and expertise of the doctors and nurses and the healing power of Jesus in response to ours and many peoples prayers.
It is amazing how medical science has progressed. However, much of the research required to win the battle against cancer is funded by charitable donations. To help raise money, I aim to cycle 1000 miles during 2018. As Marco is still undergoing treatment, I've entitled my campaign "1000 miles for Marco" . I will be self funded and all the money raised will go to Bloodwise. A charity who fund research into finding cures for all forms of Blood cancer. See www.bloodwise.org.uk
The 1000 miles will be covered by a series of long distance
sportives in the UK and in Europe.
If you would like to give to Bloodwise and support the
battle against cancer, please give as you are able.
In honour of our God, who heals and inspires science for
good. He is against cancer as much as we are.
In honour of my father whose life was shortened through
Luekemia and lung cancer.
In honour of my wife and grandson who with the help of God, doctors,
nurses, friends and family are winning the battle!!!
