2016 is the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Crete. The withdrawal  from Tavronitis to Chora Sfakion took place over 4 days from May 24 - 28 and thousands of Allied troops from the UK, New Zealand, Australia and Greece were evacuated from the small port on the South coast of the island.

The route we will be following is going in the opposite direction to honour those troops and civilians of Crete that fought bravely during those terrible times. We are attempting to cover the whole distance in a time of 24 hours or less...a challenge for everyone involved.
