We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

My son Jake was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in December 2008 aged just 4 years old. Although he is a happy and well little boy Type 1 Diabetes is a chronic condition which if not managed properly can lead to all kinds of side effects, Jake will need daily  Insulin injections and blood glucose testing  for the rest of his life or hopefully until a cure is found.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) are the leading research foundation who are actively looking for a cure, for this reason I have chosen to up last year's acheivement of running 10 runs in the year by running 100.

I have a place in the 2011 BUPA Great North Run (13.1) miles) , so will be running 99 10K runs leading up to the day of the Great North Run, so will run my 100th run on the day.

Please dig deep to sponsor me in my challenge, and click on the link to make a donation.
