This August I will be attempting the famous endurance challenge, cycling the length of the mainland British Isles! Setting off from Lands End, the far south westerly point of Cornwall, on the 14th and 8 days later aiming to arrive in John O' Groats, the far north easterly point of Scotland. 

Pedalling a distance of approximately 900 miles, over the course of 8 consecutive days, is no easy feat I think the large majority of people would agree. I am fully expecting a real physical and mental challenge, pushing ahead regardless of whatever the British summertime might throw our way!

The Teenage Cancer Trust is a fantastic charity doing unique work to provide bespoke facilities and care within existing hospital wards around the country, catered towards the needs and comfort of teenagers and young adults suffering with this dreadful illness. Cancer can of course occur at any point in life, yet it seems particularly cruel at a time which by all rights you should have so many better things to work towards and focus on.
