Fundraising for Weston Hospicecare
Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to find out why I'm raising money for Weston Hospicecare this year.
In September 2016 my Nan was diagnosed with a brain tumour and she sadly passed away just before Christmas that year.
My Nan was my best friend and being without her hasn't become any easier over the last year. I have been struggling to come to terms with losing her and to cope with the grief that I know my family feel every day without her here.
When my Nan became unwell, Weston Hospicecare provided end of life care and support to my family and helped to make her last few months a time where we could visit her in the comfort of her own home, and see her laugh and smile.
I have decided to take part in a number of challenge events and fundraising activities over the next year in memory of my Nan, and to help channel my grief into something positive.
