Story

The time has come,' the 21 said,
To talk of lots of stuff:
Of masks — and work — and covid-vax —
Of viking beards — chin fluff —
And why the beard just has to go —
      only if we raise enough.'

Broadcasting LIVE at 2pm UK time on the 30th at http://twitch.tv/vingtetun21

Since last October marked yet another period of lockdown - with work being closed until at least June 2021, I took the opportunity to achieve a life goal - see whether I could grow a full Viking - and maybe even Wizardly beard.

With much protestation from Mrs P, much laughing from those that know me, I have achieved my goal.  When in my life am I EVER going to get the opportunity to do something this silly ever again?

However - in June, it looks like my industry, and my work will be starting up again, so it's time to consider rejoining the human race and shearing the chin fluff.

HOWEVER - as an Ambassador for SpecialEffect it affords me an opportunity to help raise some funds to help people with physical disabilities gain access to computer gaming.

There isn't an option for the beard to stay - it must go, but in going I hope it raises some much needed money for the charity.

Hit the £500 mark and I will be returning to my usual neatly trimmed short beard.

Hit £1000 and for the first time in 10 years, my face will be nude.  My double chins will be once again able to be counted and I will be back to looking like a chubby cheeked hamster.

Whatever we raise - the "Big Day" will be on the 30th May - giving me a couple of weeks before my first work returns to get used to my new look.  It will be photographed and videoed - maybe even broadcast live on the day.
