Like many people, I hate January. Two days before January 1998, our beautiful daughter Alex died of cancer, aged 5. So our profound loss and the memories of this time of year make January a pretty joyless month for us. I have decided to add to the misery of my January by doing without alcohol for 21 days, one day for each of the 21 years without our darling girl. 

Issabelle’s Appeal is a fantastic little charity, and it would be lovely if you could make a donation. All funds raised will go towards granting wishes for children with cancer.
