Summer 2012 saw me take on 8 Race for Lifes (Milton Keynes 5K, Edinburgh 5K and 10K, Bury St Edmunds 5K, Cambridge 5K, Epping 10K, Exeter 5K and Chelmsford 10K), the Relay for Life (37.2K), Fordham 5K Fun Run, St Neots Riverside 10K and the huge honour of carrying the Olympic Torch!

The 365 Compass Challenge is well underway...it was appropriate that this set of challenges began on 19th May (the first day of the Olympic Torch Relay) and will culminate in me running VLM2013, once again for CRUK (my confirmation as a successful applicant has been received!).

Here's how the 365 Compass Challenge will work - following in the footsteps of Colin Clerkin, I too will be seeing just how far and for long I can challenge myself in 365 days:

RUN - East Coast to West Coast - Lowestoft to St Davids is approx. 300 miles run as an accumalative events total in the year.

CYCLE - South Coast to North Coast - Lands End to John O'Groats is approx. 1000 miles completed as an accumalative total on a static bike.

Ambitious challenges for an ambitious target of £4,370 but that will take my overall total for CRUK to £10,000 (in three years).

You can follow my overall total's progress at:

I ran my first CRUK event in June 2010, the amount of support and sponsorship I've had since then has been truly amazing and honestly humbling - from the bottom of my heart I'd like to THANKYOU for joining me on this journey - lets continue to make the difference together.

Those of you who know me, know me well enough to understand the reasons why - for those of you that don't...why Cancer Research UK?

For the challenge.  For the cause.  For the cure.

So please, dig deep - give a little, change a lot - and sponsor me online - it's quick, easy and totally secure.  Once donated, your money goes directly to CRUK and Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligable donation by a UK taxpayer - that's an extra 28%!

THANKYOU - Keren XXX
