Story
A few of us will once again be walking 30 miles over the Mendips to raise vital funds for Weston Hospicecare. I said 3 years ago when I last did this in memory of my friend's dad that I would never do it again (it's hard!) but now me and my sister have a personal reason.
We sadly lost mum after a very short battle with Bowel cancer on 22nd November 2017. It was a massive shock to us as there was only 2 months between diagnosis and her sadly passing away. We now want to give something back to the Hospice who looked after her so well in her final days and we can't thank them enough. Mum, we are doing this for you, miss you so much xxx
Please give what you can as every little helps xx
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
