We fund pioneering research to tackle bowel cancer.

Story

I will be walking from AFC Wimbledon to Fulham FC at 2am sunday 17th Feb after recieving the sash from Aldershot FC and handing over the sash to them at 5am.

Below is why I am doing it.

The Big Football Tag includes tag teams representing each of the 92 professional football teams.

During the middle two weeks of February the teams will tag each other along a route and will pass over their captains armband to the next nearest team.  This will happen until the final tags link with 10 year old Jonjo Heuerman at West Ham United.  Once he has been tagged he will take all of the armbands to Wembley Stadium to collect the England Captains armband and bring it back to Upton Park.  He will be walking 66 miles in 6 days to mark the 20th anniversary of Bobby Moore's death to bowel cancer, the same disease that took Jonjo's Nanny.  So far Jonjo has raised £91,000.  All of the money raised through this team page will be added to his total.

Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.
