The British Paralympic Association is a registered charity and is responsible for selecting, entering and creating a world class environment for the ParalympicsGB team during the Summer and Winter Games. Your support enables us to give athletes the best possible preparation for the Games.

Story

Hello and thanks for visiting my homepage.

On Sunday 26th September 2010 I am taking part in “Run To The Beat” half marathon for ParalympicsGB.  ParalympicsGB is Office Angels designated charity for 2010.

The money you raise will make an enormous difference to the support we can offer British athletes ahead of 2012. The home Games gives us a once in a lifetime chance to change the way people think, feel and behave towards people with a disability, and to inspire a new generation of people with a disability to get involved in sport. This will only be achieved through the incredible performances of British athletes in the stadia of 2012, so we need to do everything possible to ensure our athletes can achieve their lifetime’s best in front of the home crowds.

Additionally, I will be clocking up the kilometres for my companies "Win4youth" initiative.  The initiative was launched by Adecco/Office Angels this year and for every 5km run by an employee my company will make a donation, this money will be given to charities aimed to pave a path for underpriviledged youths in challenging environments to get them into work.

I have started training already and am extremely focused about crossing the finish line in one piece.  I took part in a 7K run last month and finished in 34 minutes and a 10K this month and finished in 51 minutes, so I’m aiming to complete in 2 hours.  I have several other races over the next 2 months.

I need to raise at least £500.00 before the event, so any donation would be much appreciated.

Thanks everyone.
