Story

Hello everyone!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As the majority of you know (and are probably bored of hearing about) I have been given the great honour of running the 2017 London Marathon for Saint Francis Hospice.

Saint Francis Hospice is one of the largest adult hospices in the UK. Their team of specialist consultants, doctors, nurses and health and social care professionals provide care and support to individuals with a life-limiting illness. Equally important is the care and support the hospice provides to their patients carers and family members, all done completely free of charge.

My Dad was a patient at Saint Francis 7 years ago in the final weeks of his life and I can't thank the Hospice enough for the exceptional care they all provided and how much easier and more comfortable they made this difficult time for both my Dad and the rest of my family.

And that's what leads me here, to try and begin to repay the Hospice for everything they have done for my family - I am putting my body under the ultimate test and running the London Marathon. The hospice rely heavily on voluntary donations so every contribution really does make a difference.

Thanks again for visiting my page and contributing to this great cause!

I have booked an area at The Draft House, Tower Hill (14-15 Tower Hill, London EC3N 4AX) from 2pm onwards on the day and it would be great to see you there for a much needed beer!

Alfie
