Inverness Half Marathon 2015 · 8 March 2015 ·

The land around Maryculter Woodland has long been thought of as an area with development potential. This has now become a reality. MWT aim to use the Woods as a place that will remain wild and be a refuge for the animals displaced by roads and houses by restoring the woods to native species.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! On Sunday 8 March I will be running the Inverness Half Marathon for Maryculter Woodlands Trust.

This is an important charity because there is so much construction around Aberdeen, swallowing up our countryside. With enough money Maryculter Woodlands Trust can buy the woods and preserve them for all time, for the community and for our native wildlife such as the red squirrels. It is a cause close to my heart as it is my local woods and where  I spent the majority of my childhood; climbing trees and rescuing frog spawn!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
