Resolution Run Escot Park 2018 · 25 February 2018 ·
As some of you know, in September 2015, Ian, my incredible step dad (and best friend) and my mum Sue's beloved husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of a cruel and untimely stroke. He was just 50 years old.
For a man so young, fit, strong and healthy it was hideous that something like that could have happened, but it did, and ever since then we have been trying to navigate our world without him.
Obviously it's not easy, in fact some days are very very tough but we are looking after each other and doing what he loved doing and what we now love doing...running.
I am not really asking for sponsorship because I'd happily run the 10 miles anyway, I'm just asking for a small donation to the Stroke Association so we can try to prevent the horror that happened to us from happening to another family, and similarly to help make the lives of people and their families who have already been affected by a stroke that bit easier.
Thank you, Alice.
