Godfrey had a huge impact on people from all walks of life. He encouraged them to get out on to the moors, take an interest in nature and conservation whilst searching for Dartmoor Letterboxes. He was the unofficial chairman of the unofficial 100 Club. He died on 12th August 2018. In his memory we ask for no flowers but if people would like to donate to Dartmoor Search & Rescue, please do.
