It's been nearly 3 years since I suffered a spinal cord injury after falling off my bike. An injury which, amongst other things, has left me with paralysis down my right leg. I can't jump, I can't run, I can't scramble over the moor, climb a mountain, walk the coastal path or get back on my lovely snowboard. I probably never will now and it does my head in on a daily basis. But....one thing I can do (and I will be forever grateful to everyone who made it happen) is pedal. Pedal, pedal, pedal. So, this year the obvious challenge for me was to complete the full 2 days of Wickets & Wheels. A whole 120 miles of pedaling. Doubling the effort of last year. I will be ably supported and encouraged by the fabulous Dean & Jonathan and between us we hope that we can continue to raise money and raise the profile of 2 Wish Upon A Star - a charity that has sadly remained close to our hearts again this year.
